Agate's undulating color bands evoke the visually rich terrain of northern India, where natural rock formations and man-made quarries expose multi-hued layers of stone and sand.
Agate is made from finely spun cotton that's been tightly woven on a panja loom using 30% more fiber than typical flatweaves, making it much more durable and comfortable than most - a modern heirloom for your world. Each rug takes a single artisan between four weeks and two months to finish.

- Hand-woven in Rajasthan on panja looms
- 1/4" thick with a lighter weight and hand-bound edges
- Vacuum and spot-clean as needed with cold water, a mild dish or hand soap, and a soft brush
About Tantuvi
After spending much of 2010 traveling through India, designer Arati Rao established Tantuvi, while reconnecting with her ancestral roots and cultivating a relationship with India's hand-loom textile traditions.
Tantuvi works with Ikat weavers in South India reinterpreting traditional patterns and weaves of the region and dhurrie weavers of North India for our flat weave rugs. By working collaboratively with our hand-loom co-operatives, we help sustain the artisans and craft to preserve their intimate traditions of hand spun, dyed, and woven cottons and silks of the Eastern Ghats and Rajasthan. Through the co-operative women are being trained in all aspects of weaving. Although men still dominate positions of master weaver and dyer, more women are weaving and contributing to the process. Our hope is to provide income for women and enable future generations the chance for improved education and a stable livelihood.
Launched in 2016, a collaboration between artist Adam Sipe and designer Arati Rao, the debut collection was inspired by early experiments in formal abstract animation.
Tantuvi, which translates to weaver in Sanskrit, is committed to supporting weavers who, using centuries old looms and techniques, continue to pass down their trade. We hope to conserve this rich culture and delicate community.

Order Tracking

APO Shipping
For APO addresses, we kindly ask that you contact us before placing your order to confirm eligibility for USPS delivery.
Returns & Exchanges
If you’re not satisfied with your purchase from maisonvague.shop, you may return eligible items within 14 days of delivery.
Final Sale Items:
Tile, Wallpaper and Special Orders (placed through Customer Service or noted as custom order and marked non-returnable on the product page) cannot be returned.
Return Requirements
Items must be unused, unassembled, and in original packaging with all materials included.
Returns must be postmarked within 14 days of delivery.
A Return Authorization (RA) is required before sending any item back. Returns without an RA will not be accepted.
Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
If your item arrives damaged or defective, contact Customer Service within 5 business days of delivery.
Fees & Refunds
A 15% return fee will be deducted from refunds.
Rugs, lighting, furniture, and planters are subject to deduction of original shipping costs plus the 15% return fee.
Orders canceled after shipment (in transit) are subject to applicable restocking and return fees.
International, Alaska, and Hawaii orders cannot be returned.
Refunds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the return is received and inspected. Please allow 7–10 business days for warehouse and refund processing.
